Professional Diploma in Interior Design Visualization
Course Outline
The program is specifically designed to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and ability to design and illustrate architectural renderings and animations using Autodesk VIZ. The philosophy of the program is to develop the innate creativity of the student so that they may gain both personal satisfaction and confidence. The Professional Diploma in Architectural Visualization is for Learners who may be seeking employment in the ever-growing 3D and Architectural Visualization industries. This program allows individuals to work in design departments in house and in company or as free-lancers.
The objectives of the program are:
- To understand the theory, principles, concepts and vocabulary of 3D digital Modeling, Materials, Lighting, Rendering and Animation
- To understand important issues in the use of 3D digital visualization towards architectural drawings and designs.
- To develop freelance work skills

Entry Requirements
Students applying for the program would benefit more readily if
they meet with one of the following:
- High School Certificate / GED / 10+2 accepted
- An appropriate Diploma
- A Recognized First Degree
- Applicants havng work experience
- An appropriate professional qualification
- Applicants must have very good command over English and basic computer skills
Assessment
Student progress is monitored by continuous assessment. A variety
of assessment methods may be used, for example, assignments,
business style reports, case studies, logbooks, observations,
oral presentations, personal audits, portfolios, role-play and
projects. Students are graded at either Distinction, Merit , Pass
or Fail.
Length of Course
The program is designed to allow the student to complete it in
3 months of classroom study and tutorials.
Certification
On successfully completing the program, students are awarded the
Professional Diploma in Interior Design Visualization issued by ASET, London
UK
Status of Qualification
Advanced vocational qualification
Fee
AED 1,500/- for registration and AED 4,000/- for the entire program inclusive of books / course materials, assessment, evaluations and the final
professional diploma. Payment plans available with the Accounts
department. (The above fee is valid for 2007 only. The fees will be AED 8000/- starting January 2008)
