Certified Executive Secretary (CES)

Course Outline
Ultimately, most highly motivated, well-educated people in administration wish to fulfill a senior management Secretarial role in a company for which they have to understand and effectively coordinate the work of senior management officials along with major divisions in the company, various clients and business associates.

In today’s fast pace of business and work environment, there is an ever-increasing demand of multitalented secretaries with expertise in a range of skills.

The Executive Secretary program is an advanced program specifically meant for those who have already gained a recognized diploma or degree and who now wish to study a course that prepares them for prime management administrative positions in the corporate world either public or private sector.The emphasis during the course is on those aspects, which are essential for effective Secretarial administration assisting Managers at middle and top Management within commercial or non-commercial organizations.

  2. Business Communications and Correspondence
  3. Executive Productivity Skills using Technology
  4. Handling Awkward Situations
  5. Customer Service
  6. Personal Appearance & Etiquettes
Entry Requirements
Students applying for the program would benefit more readily if they meet with one of the following:
  1. An appropriate Diploma
  2. A Recognized First Degree
  3. Applicants must have experience of working in a management position
  4. An appropriate professional qualification
  5. Applicants must have very good command over English

Assessment
Student progress is monitored by continuous assessment. A variety of assessment methods may be used, for example, multiple choice tests, assignments, business style reports, case studies, logbooks, observations, oral presentations, personal audits, portfolios, role-play and projects. Students are graded at either Pass or Fail.

Length of Course
The program is designed to allow the student to complete it in as little as 6 full day sessions or approx 14-18 evening sessions of classroom study assuming modules are offered and students opt for them.

Certification
On successfully completing the program, students are awarded the Certified Executive Secretary Certificate issued by Ascentis, London (UK)

Status of Qualification
Professional and Vocational qualification

Fee
AED 1,000/- for registration and AED 1,500/- for the entire program inclusive of course materials, assessment, evaluations and the final certificate. Payment plans available with the Accounts department.
